Grand jury to hear Florence sexual assault case | News

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- The case against an accused sexual predator is headed to a Lauderdale County grand jury.

Mitchell Terry is accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old UNA student after breaking into her apartment.

His attorney waived his preliminary hearing, so it will now go straight to a grand jury.

Terry was charged in two home invasions in Lauderdale County. One of which included the sexual assault of a UNA student.

Police are working to determine if Terry is connected to a string of break-ins that occurred earlier this year, which also targeted women at UNA.

All of those attacks happened within a five mile radius of the campus.
