Brothers involved in stabbing appear in court | News

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- Two men involved in the stabbing death of a Lauderdale County man had their first court appearance Friday.

Shannon and Jerry Brewer returned to Lauderdale County from Florida Thursday evening.

Shannon Brewer is charged with the murder of Mark Dishon and for stabbing another woman the night of November 19. He then fled the state with his brother, Jerry Brewer.

The two were picked up November 21 outside of Tallahassee, Florida.  

Lauderdale County deputies said Shannon confessed to the crime and asked to come back to Alabama.

Jerry is charged with theft for stealing the SUV they used to flee to Florida. 

The Brewers were seen giggling and laughing in the court room.

Shannon's bond was set at $1 million. Investigators said his charges could be upgraded.

Jerry's bond was set at $100,000.
