Board selects new member | News
Wednesday afternoon, the Florence City School Board met to select a new member.
Eight people applied for the vacant seat after Jim Fischer resigned last week.
Fischer stepped down after a post on Facebook concerning teacher pay.
Brad Dethero was the unanimous choice for Board Member for District 6.
The school board reviewed applications from the following candidates: Pamela Barksdale, Brad Dethero, Harlan Knight, Nancy McClanahan, Don McCullough, Beth Toner, Kathy Walker, and Britton Watson.
