We've all been there: It's midnight, and your cat is acting strange. Then it vomits. UNA to host third annual Sunset Fountain 5k
The University of North Alabama Student Government Association will host its third annual Sunset Fountain 5k April 13. All proceeds to the event will go toward the SGA endowed scholarship fund for UNA students.

“This event is not just to promote SGA,” current SGA treasurer Laura Giles said. “By supporting this event, you can help us help students faster than if we had no support and no funds to get to our goal.”

According to Giles, SGA hosted their first SGA 5k in 2011 to help alleviate financial burdens on students through an endowed scholarship fund. Any student at the university is eligible for the scholarship and SGA plans to present five $500 scholarships throughout the school year to students.

Muscle Shoals, AL (WAFF) - As spring comes creeping into the Tennessee Valley, anglers around Alabama are preparing to his the water. The Tennessee Valley Authority is working hard to make sure they've got something to catch.

TVA crews have been conducting their annual sport fish health surveys over the past week. They started at Wilson Reservoir in Muscle Shoals back on March 12th, and will continue through early May.

The fish are collected using electro-fishing equipment, which gives them a small but harmless shock. The stunned fish are collected, examined, and released back into the water.

Biologists are looking for species, abundance, age, weight and general health.
