UNA fraternity sets bouncy castle world record

The Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at the University of North Alabama set the Guinness World Record for longed team marathon on a bouncy castle.

The eight members of the team jumped for 27 straight hours.

The members jumped for 20 minute intervals starting October 31 at 9:35 a.m. and ending November 1 at 12:35 p.m.

The event was part of the fraternity’s annual “Valhalla” fundraiser which raises money for breast cancer awareness.

ATO attempted the record two years ago, but had to call it off due to weather.

The members of the team were Will Britton, of Elkmont; Fabian Cortez, of Haleyville; Taylor Eaves, of Birmingham; Scott Hawkins, of Warrior; Aaron Lovelady, of Florence; Chad Willis, of Florence; Jacob Winkles, of Huntsville; and Jason Zak, of Tuscumbia
