Sheriff : Chase ends in wreck | Crime
Florence, AL (WAFF) - Lauderdale County Sheriff Ronnie Wills tells WAFF 48 News that a high speed chase ended with a suspect wrecking his car in Florence.
It began around 8:00 Sunday night, when a deputy pulled over a vehicle. According to Willis, the driver stopped, then put his car into reverse, slamming into the deputy's cruiser. The driver took off and hit speeds near 100 miles per hour.
After a few minutes, the suspect crashed his car near the intersection of Cloverdale Road and County Road 6.
