Franklin Co. man charged with making threats to ECM | Crime

A Russellville man is behind bars, charged with making a terrorist threat.

Police said Rodney Lightfoot threatened to kill people if he wasn’t treated at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence.

Lightfoot has a history of mental problems.

Officials said he told medical staff he would “commit murder against anyone he came in contact with by all means necessary.”

Police were notified and Lightfoot was arrested.

He is in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bond pending a mental competency hearing.
