Killen man senetenced to 5 years for assault | Crime
A judge sentenced a Lauderdale County man to five years for assaulting an employee at his child’s school.
Edward Jenkins was sentenced to 60 months which will be split to 12 months in jail and 48 months on probation.
Jenkins was convicted of attacking a Rogers High School coach for yelling at his 8-year-old son.
Jenkins said he was upset because the coach, Chris Krieger, was talking inappropriately to his son. He said the coach made a threatening move and he was just defending himself.
Jenkins has one day of credit towards his sentence.
