Teen murder suspect applies for youthful offender status | Crime

Teenage murder suspect Autumn Wood appeared before a Lauderdale County Judge for her arraignment Wednesday morning. During that hearing her attorney asked the judge to consider youthful offender status for his client.

Wood is charged with the murder of 14-year-old Brooklyn Hollins. Hollins was stabbed to death at a party in Florence back in March.

Wood's attorney has already asked the judge to try Wood as a juvenile. That request was denied. 

A hearing is set for December 18 for Wood's youthful offender request.

Wood is out of jail on bond. A trial date has not been set.
