UNA hosting public safety forums

In response to several violent crimes on campus the University of North Alabama is hosting several public safety forums this week.

Currently police are investigating a sexual assault in the parking garage, a strong arm robbery near a dorm, and a terrorist threat involving the math department.

Vice President of Student Affairs, David Shields, and UNA Police Chief, Bob Pastula, will lead the forums. We're told campus leaders are already looking to install as many as 80 security cameras around campus.

The forums are planned for the following times:

  • Tuesday, October 9, noon - 1 p.m., GUC Loft
  • Wednesday, October 10, 9 p.m. - 10 p.m., Towers Dining Hall
  • Thursday, October 11, noon - 1 p.m., GUC Loft
