UNA Police issue scam warning

UNA Police issue scam warning

UNA Police are warning students of a scam involving fake job postings.

Police say the scam is coordinated by a group identifying themselves as Cara Operations or Cara Opp. They post a job ad for UNA students or send students an email.

Police warn students to look out for the following email addresses: kurt@caraoperations.net, caraoperations@live.com, applications@caraactions.com, and caraoperations@hotmail.com.

They urge students to not respond to emails from these addresses or job postings with your personal information.

If you receive a check from Cara Operations requesting that you deposit the check in your account, don't do so. By depositing the check, the fake company can possibly track your banking information and your account number.
